Privacy notice
How WeegieWeb handles your information when you visit this website or get in touch.
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Who is responsible
WeegieWeb is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. For privacy questions or requests, email michael@weegieweb.co.uk.
What information we collect
When you enquire, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, business name and project description. You can also choose to provide a website address, phone number, preferred timing and service interest. Required fields help us understand your request and reply; without them, we may be unable to respond.
Our hosting and service providers may also process technical information, such as IP addresses, request times and browser details, to deliver and protect the website and filter spam. Please do not send payment card details or sensitive personal information through the enquiry form.
Why we use it
We use enquiry information to answer your questions, discuss a proposal and manage any work you ask us to carry out. Where you request steps towards a contract, or become a customer, we rely on taking those steps or performing the contract. For business correspondence and website security, we rely on our legitimate interests in running the service and responding to enquiries. We may also retain information where needed to meet legal obligations.
Submitting an enquiry does not sign you up to a marketing mailing list. Enquiries are reviewed by a person.
Services that handle information
Netlify hosts this website and processes contact-form submissions through Netlify Forms. Email services handle enquiry notifications and correspondence. Google Fonts supplies the website fonts; your browser contacts Google to load them, which can involve technical information such as your IP address.
Information is shared with providers as needed to supply these services, and with professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or a dispute. We do not sell your personal information.
Providers may process information outside the UK. Netlify describes its data-processing agreement and international-transfer arrangements in its data-protection information. Contact us if you would like information about the safeguards relevant to your data. Google explains its handling of information in its privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected. For enquiries, this depends on whether the discussion is still active and whether it leads to work. For customers, we also consider the ongoing project or support relationship, accounting requirements and any legal claim or dispute. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
Cookies and browser storage
We have not added analytics or advertising cookies to the website. The homepage weather switch uses session storage to remember your rain or sunshine preference for the browsing session. This preference is not used for advertising.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact michael@weegieweb.co.uk to make a request. Some information may need to be retained where a legal obligation or another applicable exception requires it.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We would welcome the opportunity to address your concern first, but you do not have to contact us before making a complaint.
Changes to this notice
We’ll update this notice when the way we handle information changes. The date above shows when it was last revised.
